Bio

Since 1985, I have supported individuals, couples and groups in using mind-body approaches to face and resolve a variety of issues. I am committed to “walking the talk” of the practices I share with others, having had personal as well as professional experience with:

  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Career and Life Transitions
  • Grief and Loss
  • Body Image and Compulsive Behaviors
  • Long-term Relationship as well as Thriving Solo
  • Life-Work Balance and Stress Management
  • Shifting from Self-Criticism to Self-Acceptance

Traditional medical training (Yale, Mills, UCSF) and decades of study in complementary approaches have nourished a passion for integration, which I bring into each session, with focus and playfulness, persistence and flexibility, depth and breadth:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology and Somatic Counseling
  • Certified Master Coach, Interaction Associates
  • Nonviolent Communication Collaborative Trainer
  • Registered Physical Therapist, EFT Practitioner
  • Certifications in Diversity Leadership, Myers-Briggs
  • Member of WingIt! Improvisational Performance Ensemble
  • Additional studies in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Mindfulness practices, Enneagram, Somatic Experiencing and the Hakomi Method

In addition to my private practice, I also consult with organizations committed to bringing integrative approaches to their leaders and teams. Recent clients include Global Fund For Women, Ms. Foundation and American Rights at Work.
